Rwanda’s APR Football picked up a goalless draw against Mogadishu City Club in the First Preliminary Round first leg of the CAF Champions League in the capital city of Djibouti on Sunday.

APR Started the game with confidence because they knew both team teams are playing away from their fans and this was the advantage to the Rwanda’s Army team APR FC.

APR FC traveled to Djibouti City without their key player Byiringiro Lague who was injured when he was in national duty against Kenya in the FIFA World cup qualifiers. They traveled without their other promising Midfielder Bosco Ruboneka who was also injured during their friendly game against As Maniema from DR Congo.

Moroccan tactician Mohamed Adil Muhamed who doesn’t have CAF Licence A was not allowed to be at touchline.

The Tunisia Neffati Jameledine assistant coach to Adil Mohammed was in charge as a head coach on the day.

APR FC though, showed that they posses quality with their promoted players from their academy and some new comers in the team but the team failed to win the game and settled for a draw.

The second leg will take place at the Kigali Stadium in Kigali City on September 19, 2021
