Kenyan side Gor Mahia walked away with a 1-3 away victory against Al Ahly Merowe in the 2nd Preliminary Round first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup on Friday.
Playing in Egyptian city of Suez, Sudanese Al Ahly Merowe looked comfortable after going to halftime leading 1-0.
Ahmed Abok scored three minutes before the break to give the hosts advantage.
But they were shocked in the second half, as Gor Mahia responded in style. Samuel Onyango restored parity after 55 minutes. Then Benson Omalla put the Kenyans ahead ten minutes later.
Jules Ulimwengu made it 3-1 after 70 minutes as Gor Mahia takes a convincing lead to the second leg in Nairobi next weekend.
