Hosts Morocco have another big task ahead tonight as they face Uganda in a crucial TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations match at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The Atlas Lionesses will be looking to seal a place in the quarterfinals if they beat Uganda tonight.
Morocco were made to work hard for their win in the tournament opener in Group A, but ultimately got the job done, with captain Ghizlane Chebbak’s goal in the 29th minute enough to give the hosts a narrow win.
Uganda on the other hand will look to revive their hopes following a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Senegal.
Skipper Ruth Aturo will need to rally her troops again as they do battle in front of the partizan home crowd.
The Crested cranes have the necessary firepower to get the job done and George Lutalo will look to the deadly Fazila Ikwaput and the dependable hard-working Hasifah Nassuna.
A win for Uganda will see them get back on track while a win for the Atlas Lionesses will guarantee a spot in the last eight.
