Chipolopolo striker Lameck Banda becomes the latest player to make a big European move after joining Italian Serie A side U.S Lecce.
Banda becomes the first Zambian player to sign for any Italian topflight side from Israeli outfit Maccabi Petah Tikvah.
The club announced on its website that Banda had been signed on a four-year deal.
Other Zambian players to have made European moves during the current window are Kings Kangwa (Red Star Belgrade-Serbia), Miguel Chaiwa (BSC Young Boys), Prince Mumba (Istra-Croatia) and Albert Kangwanda (HNK Gorica-Croatia).
Emmanuel Mayuka and Nathan Sinkala are some of the Zambian players to have honed their careers through Israel.
