t’s been reported that Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, could be on his way out of Chelsea in the January transfer window with AC Milan said to be a likely destination.
After becoming one of Europe’s most sought after wingers during his time with Ajax Amsterdam, Ziyech signed for Chelsea in 2020. Under the tutelage of Frank Lampard at the time, the Moroccan had a slow start to life in the Premier League.
Since then, Ziyech has struggled to cement his place in the London-based side’s starting XI. In the last two years, Ziyech made 88 appearances, scoring 14 goals while recording 10 assists in the Blues strip.
Now though, reports in the media suggest that Ziyech’s representatives have been in contact with AC Milan over a potential move in the January transfer window.
According to Football Italia, as per Daily Mail, the 29-year-old’s camp has already met with the Italian giants and that the club view Ziyech as a ‘long-term’ target.
The Daily Mail reports that Ziyech’s lawyer, Sebastien Ledure, is said to be on good terms with Chelsea and Milan and would act as the middle man should a deal materialize.
Ziyech played five games this season, making just one Premier League start, which came in a defeat at the hands of Southampton in August.
