Morocco Atlas Lions are set to face Eritrea and Tanzania as their first opponent in Group E, which also includes Zambia, Niger, and Congo.
The game against Eritrea is set to take place on November 16, but recent reports claim that the country has withdrawn from the qualifiers.
Morocco is also set to play Tanzania on November 21 at 8 p.m. local time in Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Tanzanian capital Dar Es Salam.
Many observers are betting on Morocco as a favorite to qualify to the World Cup 2026, which will take place in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
The Atlas Lions became more entrenched as favorites following their spectacular performances during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they finished in a historic fourth place.
The latest ranking from FIFA puts Morocco as the 13th best national team in the world, and the best one in Africa, leading teams like Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt.
