The Tanzanian Vodacom Premier league will pave way this weekend for World Cup Qualifiers where Tanzania will host the Flames of Malawi today and over the weekend.
This will be the preliminary matches with victory set in mind for the hosts.
Over the weekend,giants Simba,Yanga,Azam and Mtibwa Sugar were not involved in league matches as most of their players were involved with the National team.
Matches played in week six of the Vodacom league saw Toto Africa move to the sixth position after edging JKT Ruvu 1-0 at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.
At the Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga hosts Stand United beat troubled Mbeya City 1-0 to go level on points with Toto Africans.
Kagera Sugar lost their first home match going down 0-3 to visiting Tanzania Prisons at the Kaitaba Stadium in Bukoba.
Earlier on saturday,Mgambo JKT held Coastal Union to a goalless draw in Tanga while MajiMaji lost at their Majimaji homw 0-1 to Mwadui.
On wednesday 30th September Toto Africans held Mbeya City to a 1-1 draw.
The league resumes on October 17th when all eight matches will be played with the highlight being the clash between Yanga and Azam at the National Stadium.
Other matches will pit Majimaji against African Sports while Mbeya City will host Simba in Mbeya.
Ndanda FC will welcome Toto Africans in Mtwara as Stand United battles it out with Tanzania Prisons.
Coastal Union will welcome Mtibwa Sugar as Mgambo takes on Kagera Sugar.
The last match of the day will be at the Mwadui Sports complex where Mwadui FC will entertain winless JKT Ruvu.
