(Second Round – 1st Leg):
Uganda Vs Sudan – Saturday 17th October 2015
Nakivubo Stadium, Kampala (4:00 p.m)
Uganda Cranes CHAN team Captain Robert Sentongo has assured Ugandans that they are not worried by the Sudan team despite being composed of largely players who featured for giants El Meriekh and Al Hilal in the semi finals of the CAF champion’s league.
‘They are the same people we’ve been meeting before, their clubs have been performing at the continent but we’ve been humiliating them .We are not shaken and we shall deliver’ Sentongo said after Wednesday’s training.
Sentongo who plays his club football with URA FC, will lead the Cranes against the Sudan after seasonal captain Hassan Wasswa Biruma was left out of the 25 man squad due to being inactive since the Ugandan league season ended in May.
Boasting of an experience of over ten years on the national football team, Sentongo will an asset for Uganda over the two legs against Sudan.
The striker made his Cranes debut in the game against South Africa at Nambole in 2004 and has been one of the consistent players on the team.
