Football Kenya Federation (FKF) officials have protested over the
manipulation of the clubs list  by the national offce ahead of the
federation’s polls.

  FKF presidential  candidate  Nick Mwendwa ,Nyanza NEC representative
Tom Alila,FKF Nairob branch Chairman Michael Ouma, Secretary General
Steve Ragos voiced their concern saying there  were  widespread
manipulation and doctoring of genuine  clubs.

FKF National Executive Committee (Nec) Nyanza representative Tom
Alila, FKF premier league Chaurman Nick Mwendwa and the Federations
Nairobi branch secretary Steve Ragos said the national office has
listed some ineligible clubs and deliberately left others which are
genuine from their respective region.

Alila said several genuine clubs from FKF Nyanza West had been left
out at the expense of some ghost teams.

Ragos said he was surprised to find that four genuine clubs from the
115 he had submitted to the national office had been excluded and
listed 26 ineligible teams.

Addressing Nairobi clubs  during the award ceremony in the just ended
Nairobi  Champions League,  Mwendwa a presidential aspirant in the
forthcoming polls claimed several names of clubs sent by various
regions had names of several teams omitted while other ghost clubs had
made their way in.

“We are ready for elections.There are many anomalies arising from
ghost clubs,duplication of team’s, which must be addressed.I came up
with the Nairobi Champions League to prove  my capability and every
body has seen.”

 Mwendwa said if elected to the top helm,he will ensure players are
insured along with their families .He further hinted that a  minimum
wage bill will be set up  for players  in various categories.

He said players will undergo training on  how to handle transfer,contract  and disciplinary issues before  being insured

During the  occasion,Terror Squad who clinched the just ended Champions League were awarded  with  a glittering trophy and a whooping Kshs.1m.Gor Mahia U-19  who finished runners-up received shs.250,000 and a  further  150,000 to third placed Kenpoly.Indomitable FC  finished fourth overall.

 In the ladies category, Golden Angels emerged winners .They were
awarded Kshs .250,000 with Embakasi South ladies United finishing
runners-up with sh.100,000 heading to their pockets.

 Beijing Raiders  and Kayole Starlets finished third  and fourth
overall .They received shs.50,000 and 25,000  for their efforts.
