Zambia:RAGM has no Agenda-Zanaco FC

MTN/FAZ Premier league side Sensational Zanaco have written to Football Association of Zambia Secretary General stating their stance on the Reconvened Annual General Meeting(RAGM).Zanaco have argued that the motion was wrongfully recorded as the original motion was restructuring of Division one North and South to avoid play-Offs not Restructuring of the all entire Super League.
According to a statement which was posted on the Clubs official Facebook page the Club has also said the motion was defeated and not moved by aclamation as such it can only be tabled at a new AGM not a RAGM.

ZANACO FC POSITION ON RAGM
1. The agenda item 2.4 Restructuring the FAZ premier league as per agenda prepresented by Northern Province Amateur Football Association was debated at the
2015 AGM. Has been wrongly recorded, the correct motion was: Restructuring of division I North and division I South to avoid
play offs was not only debated but concluded through a vote – 85 for the motion and 157 against and not by acclamation as recorded in the minutes.
Since the motion was conclusively defeated
through a vote, it cannot be legally retabled at a reconvined meeting; it can therefore,
only be tabled at a new meeting. In line with recommendation b from NSCZ, the only agenda items to be discussed should be
unconcluded business from the AGM which doesn’t apply in this case.
Page16; item 13.00(I) paragraph two of the minutes, where the defeated motion was
referred to the Premier league organising sub committee of FAZ to be brought back to the FAZ council later in the year does not
warrant the motion being tabled at a reconvened meeting as per legal technicality cited above
2. The late circulation of minutes by FAZ does not reflect or promote good governance practice. In the same vain, the non distribution of the proposed structures to allow for councillors study and contribute meaningfully to the debated is also worrisome.
3. Our late statement on our position regarding the debate surrounding the RAGM is due to the late circulation of minutes
which we needed to collaborate facts and seek legal opinion.
4. Our statement should, however, not be mistaken for politicking or linked to the forthcoming FAZ elections, but our position is aimed at fostering good governance for the development of our beautiful game by following our own statutes to the letter.
From the above, the meeting therefore has no agenda and should not go ahead but a new meeting must be called to debate the yet to be circulated proposed new structures.
