After successfully navigating past Malawi in the preliminaries of Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup, Taifa Stars are now plotting the fall the Algeria in round 2 of the qualifiers next month.
Tanzania squeezed past Malawi on 2-1 aggregate to move to the round of 40.
Stars host the first leg of the mountainous clash against the finest of African football in terms of FIFA World Ranking on November 14 at the National Stadium,Dar Es Salaam.
To fully get ready for the clash, Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has planned a ten day intensive training camp in South Africa starting November 3, before they return home for the match against the “Desert Foxes”.
The Coach Boniface Mkwasa side camped in Turkey for ten days before they faced west African heavyweights Nigeria in the AFCON 2017 qualifier last month in Dar Es Salaam, a match they they drew 0-0 despite playing better and creating more scoring chances.
Meanwhile Tanzania outgoing president Jakaya Kikwete has urged the players to do their best and beat Algeria promising them full government support.
