Prior to the 2018 World Cup qualifiers first leg match between Togo and Uganda scheduled for this Thursday, the team started residential training at New Dheli International Public School Playground in Kampala on Saturday.
During the training, head coach Sredejovic ‘Micho’ Milutin’s emphasis was on how to create scoring opportunities in the entire session that lasted for over 2 hours and 25 minutes.
The team, that started with non-residential Gym training on Friday at Acacia Mall in Paradise fitness Center and now are into camp at Sky Hotel-Nalya , will later on Sunday proceed to Vienna college Namugongo playground for ball work training session.
Up to 19 players of the summoned 27 including team captain Geoffrey Massa are in camp while Denis Onyango, Iguma Dennis, Salim Jamal, William Luwaga Kizito, Yasser Mugerwa, Ivan Bukenya, Aucho Khalid and Godfrey Walusimbi are expected to join the team before the end of Monday.
The cranes are expected to depart for Lome on Wednesday aboard a chartered plane to faceoff with the home side on the 12th of November before hosting the Hawks two days later in the reverse fixture at Nambole.
The winner over two legs will make the group stages of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the Africa zone.
The last time Uganda faced Togo was in 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier when the East African giants Uganda lost on a 2-0 goal aggregate.
