Rais wa Shirikisho la soka nchini Kenya FKF Sam Nyamweya amekamatwa na maafisa wa polisi jijini Nairobi kuhusiana na matatizo yaliyowakumbuka wachezaji wa timu ya taifa ya soka Harambee Stars kabla ya safari yao kwenda nchini Cape Verde siku ya Jumatatu usiku.
Wachezaji wa timu ya taifa walikwama katika uwanja wa ndege wa Wilson kwa saa nane baada ya mmiliki wa ndege waliyokuwa wamekodiwa na serikali kukataa ndege yake kuondoka kwa sababu nauli ya wachezaji haikuwa imelipwa kikamilifu.
Ilibidi serikali kuingilia kati kabla ya wachezaji hao kuondoka Jumatatu usiku na kusafiri kwa mwendo wa saa nane kabla ya mchuano wao dhidi ya Cape Verde kufuzu katika michuano ya kombe la dunia mwaka 2018 nchini Urusi.
Awali, wachezaji hao wakiwa kambini katika uwanja wa Kasarani waligoma kwenda katika uwanja wa ndege baada ya kulalamikia kutolipwa marupurupu yao kabla ya viongozi wa soka kutekeleza shinikizo zao.
Tukio hilo limezua hasira kwa wadau wa soka nchini Kenya na kutaka kukamatwa kwa Nyamweya kwa mkangayiko huo uliotokea.
Soka la Kenya limeendelea kukumbwa na tatizo la uongozi kwa kipindi cha muda mrefu na uchaguzi mpya wa viongozi wa soka unatarajiwa kufanyika baadaye mwezi huu.
