Gor Mahia striker Michael Olunga was named the Most Valuable Player at the 2015 Kenyan Premier League Footballer of the Year awards held in Nairobi on Wednesday.
The Gor striker walked away with a glittering trophy and total cash prize of 1.3million for his efforts on a night that saw his teammates dominate the colourful awards.
He got a million shillings for his MVP award as well as 300,000 for finishing as the second top goalscorer.
Gor goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch won the goalkeeper of the year award, Karim Nizigiyimana claimed the top defender honours while coach Frank Nuttall was named Coach of The Year.
Mathare United’s rising star Eric Johana won the midfielder of the year after beating stiff competition from Khalid Aucho and Bernard Mang’oli.
