Absa Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns will now shift their attention to an assignment against Chippa United in the ABSA Premiership on Wednesday 14 August, 2019.
Sundowns slumped to a 2-1 defeat against AS Otoho d’Oyo in the CAF Champions League Preliminary Round first leg match in Congo Brazzaville.
Pitso Mosimane’s charges will now set their eyes on Chippa United in P.E on Wednesday 14 August as they continue their title defense.
Last time the two teams met met in the Absa Premiership, the fans were treated to a 5 goal thriller that saw the Brazilians come out on top with a 3-2 scoreline.
Onyango, Arendse, Lebusa and many others like, Jali, Kekana Mabunda and Zwane were part on the team that faced Otoho and maybe this game against Chippa United will be an early test of fitness and squad rotation comes in play for Pitso Mosimane’s boys.
It will be interesting to see how Sundowns approach their game against the Chilli Boys after their Champions League exertions.
The game is set for tomorrow at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and will kickoff at 19:30 CAT/2 20:30EAT
