Burkina Faso international Adama Guira has terminated his contract with French Ligue 2 side,Lens.
The central midfieder joined Lens in January 2016 from Denmark outfit SonderjyskE on a four-year deal. He however failed to settle in France and could not replicate the good form he had with the Danish former champions with reports in Paris linking him with a move away from the club on a number of occasions.
The player has finally confirmed through his official facebook page that all the parties have mutually agreed to terminate the remainder of his four year contract with the club.
“As you have heard, I will not be a Lens player next season,as I have decided with the club to mutually terminate my contract.I would like to thank all the fans who have been incredible to me throughout this season and my teammates.RC Lens deserves Ligue 1 and I hope that they will. Thank you and good luck to the team,”reads his post.
Guira joined SonderjyskE from another Denmatrk side Dacia Chișinău 25 in 2016.He has had a bad season at Lens where he played only seven games last seaon.
