Democratic Republic of Congo completed one of African football’s greatest comebacks with a gritty turnaround against their northern neighbours Congo in Bata.

Dynamo Kyiv frontman Dani Mbokani notched a brace to bring his side back from the dead and into the semis.
Dore Ferebory put Congo in the lead on fifty four minutes after a cagey first half, ghosting in behind the DRC backline to tap in past Robert Kidiaba in goal.
Thievy Bifouma doubled their lead seven minutes later, ruthlessly punishing a suicidal pass by Kasusula, the TP Mazembe fullback hardly had a foot wrong until then.
The Zaireans were stung into action,Yannick Bolasie sprinting to the byline  on sixty four minutes to cut back a neat pass which Mbokani duly obliged.
Jeremy Bokila, uncharacteristically blunt all night, drew them level on seventy four minutes, turning and rifling a left footer into the roof.Six minutes later Job Kimwaki glanced in a freekick as Florent Ibenge’s men took control.Mbokani got his double and DRC’s fourth, latching onto a threaded pass as Claude Le Roy’s men dropped their guard.
