Guinea 1-1 Cameroon
The tournament saw yet another unprecedented draw as Guinea came from behind to share spoils with Cameroon.
Bedimo had his effort parried away by Yattara on nine minutes as the Lions signaled early intent. Two minutes later Oyongo’s cross from the right ricocheted off Florentin Pogba for a corner. The resultant kick saw Jean Moukandjo score directly from the flag.
Joseph Ondoa on the other end thwarted Ibrahima Traore following a defence splitting pass. The Guinea skipper was not to be denied at the second asking though. On forty one minutes he made space for himself with a clever spin and managed to squeeze in an angled shot through a forest of Cameroon legs.
Aboubakar Aboubaker and Stephane Mbia both missed glaring headers as the game wore on,the result a fair reflection of an evenly contested match.
