Tunisia 1-1 Cape Verde
Day two of the nations’ cup saw the third draw when Cape Verde came from a goal down to snatch a point against Tunisia. It was the Islanders who had Tunisia on the backfoot for most of the first half,Jorge Semedo and Jailton Miranda’s darting runs causing the Tunisian defence some consternation.
Varela had a header come back off the upright before defender Ben Youssef cleared off the line as Cape Verde sent men forward.
Tunisia took the lead, somewhat against the run of play, when Mohammed Moncer blasted into the roof a sweeping move after a rare Tunisian foray on sixty nine minutes.Cape Verde were jolted into action and six minutes later,Heldon Ramos’ pace was too much for Youssef, who hacked him in the area. The striker picked himself up to tuck away the spotkick and draw his side level.

The group remains square after Zambia and DRC ended 1-1 earlier at the same venue.
