Senegalese Legend ,Ibrahima Ndiaye Chita, has warned that Lions of Teranga must be at its best if it desired to beat Cameroon in tomorrow’s  2017 Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal match.

The former player fondly referred to as the ‘African Maradona’ in his playing days adviced the young players not to become over-confident because they were impressive aganist Tunisia and Zimbabwe.

“Cameroon has always been a tough opponent.Even though this is not one of best teams compared to the squads they had in the late 80s and 2000s”, said Chita in an interview with Cameroonian online portal Camer24.

“I was impressed by our  young boys because they played well against Tunisia and Zimbabwe but they have to keep up the momentumm,” he added.

Chita beleives that Senegal has the quality to beat Cameroon and urged the players to respond accordingly by raising their game.

“The best way for Senegal to defend is by playing attacking football .We do not have to wait for the opponents when we capable of provoking, creating opportunities and scoring.

“It will be necessary to avoid playing long balls as that will favor the Cameroonians. Gabon used that technique aganist Cameroon and it costed them varuable points”, he said.

Chita currently serves as manager of the Senegal National beach soccer team which won the fourth African title.
