Zimbabwe are unfazed that they’ll be taking on heavyweights Senegal in Thursday’s Africa Cup of Nations Group B tie at Franceville.
The Warriors who are lone Southern African representative at Gabon, opened their campaign in an impressive 2-2 aganist fancied Algeria, with Zimbabwe ranked as outsiders but Calisto Pasuwa insisted his side isn’t afraid of Senegalese opposation.
“Well, they are Senegal, and we are Zimbabwe,” said a relaxed Pasuwa ahead of the match.
“We are well prepared for them. We have done our homework from the last game and we are ready.
“We had a good game against Algeria. We look forward to another against Senegal.”
Zimbabwe will be without 26 year-old Knowledge Musona who was ruled out with a hamstring strain during the Algeria match.
The Warriors will however be buoyed by the heroics of Khama Billiat, who is oozing of great form having missed to register his name on the score sheet twice.
Orlando Pirates forward Ndolo is another striker that Pasuwa may name in his line-up to fill the void left by Musona. The experienced goal poacher is currently leading in the South Africa Premier Soccer League with 11 goals under his name and was unused in the first match
