Burkina Faso’s The Stallions have released a provisional squad of 24 players led by skipper Charles Kabore ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set for Gabon starting January 2017.
Aboubacar Sawadogo who plays for RCK is one of few local based player who has made the cut after his brilliant performance in the local league and will battle for a starting place against France based Sanou Germain and Asec Abidjan ‘s Koffi Kouakou.
The Stallions are in Group A alongside hosts Gabon, Cameroon and the Guinea Bissau and will play their opening game against Cameroon in Libeville on 14 January 2017.
