Subsitute Aristide Bance scored with a low drive from a free kick only five minutes after coming from the bench.
Prejuce Nakoulma doubled the lead three minutes later with a breakaway goal to clinch a semi-final against Egypt or Morocco next Wednesday.
Tunisia started on the high note with the first real chance falling to Yassine Khenissi, but his powerful header went over the bar.
Burkina Faso came close on 15th minute when Bertnard Traore had a clear cut chance but sent the ball to far side of the goal with the ball hitting crossbar.

Burkina Faso controlled the second half but they had to wait upto 80th minutes when giant striker Bance drilled home a free kick low and hard into the bottom corner withTunisia goalkeeper and captain Aymen Mathlouthi well beaten.
Burkina Faso doubled the lead three minutes later, moments after Tunisia’s corner was cleared and Nakoulma broke clear, raced past Mathlouthi, who had charged from his box, and stroked the ball into an empty net.
