Uganda Cranes defensive midfielder Hassan Wasswa insists his side is under no pressure ahead of their today match aganist tournaments favourites Egypt
After Uganda missing the Afcon tournament for nearly four decades, the 28-year-old who was influential in the country’s qualification for Africa Cup of Nations, said they are determined to rewrite history and do better in today’s match.
He further disclosed that he has been engaging his teammates, mostly individually to ensure they work more collectively on the pitch in doing the country proud.
“We are not under any pressure. We are here to enjoy the tournament, learn alot and get good results against all the teams we play against. Our net game will be very important to the entire team,” said Hassan Wasswa who represented the captain Geoffrey Massa.
“We know what the Egyptians can offer on the table. We have studied them for a long time and we are ready for the match’
“Come tomorrow (today) anyone who has done his homework well will win the game. We have done ours and let us wait for the match against Egypt,”
“We came here to work and enjoy our football. We are taking each game at a time”
After having a great game aganist Ghana,the SC Vipers star will delight leading his side off to their first win against the Pharaohs in Stade d’ Port Gentil this evening.
