Comoros Vs Uganda, Mitsamiouli Stadium
Uganda Cranes camp enters day three today (Tuesday) at the FUFA technical centre in Njeru as they up their preparations ahead of the AFCON qualifier away to Comoros this weekend.
Head Coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic has called on his charges not to look down upon the opponent based on FIFA rankings as a bulk of their squad is Europe based.
“Comoros too is well prepared because they have invited 19 pros for the the upcoming game.” Micho told FUFA’s official portal.
At position 74 in the latest Coca-Cola FIFA rankings, Uganda Cranes is the best placed regionally and is worlds apart compared to lowly ranked Comoros at 174.
In a related development, Cranes’ foreign legion continue to jet in ahead of Wednesday 3 departure – South Africa based trio of Denis Onyango, Yasser Mugerwa and Godfrey Massa arrived last night.
William Luwagga who turns out for Rio Ave FC in Portugal top league linked up with the camp on Monday night, with Kenyan based duo of Khalid Aucho and Godfrey Walusimbi expected to do so today.
