The “Stallions” host the first leg of group “D” tie of African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers versus Uganda Cranes on March 26.
The reverse encounter takes place in Kampala, Uganda four days later.
Head Coach of the Burkina Faso National Team Gernot Rohr has made public his squad to prepare for the crunch match against a resurgent Cranes – the 25-man provisional team is a galaxy of stars from both home and foreign based.
They include experienced Jonathan Pitroipa, currently of Al Nasr (Dubai), Lorient FC’s Alain Traore (France) among others.
The West Africans have won one match and lost one in the group (D) which their opponent (Uganda) tops with six points from two straight wins.
They are chasing the fifth straight qualification to the biggest soccer event in Africa while the Cranes are hunting for the first ticket since late 70s.
