The Black Stars of Ghana have agreed to a 50% cut in their winning bonuses after negotiations with the Ministry of Sport led by the designate Minister Isaac Asiamah.
The Black stars had initially settled on a $10000 winning bonus for the group stages with a win in the knockout stages earning them $12000 and a win in the finals earning them $15000 but according to the new agreement each player will take home $5000 for a win in the group stages ,$6000 for a win in the knockout and $7500 for a win in the finals.
According to the new agreement all the players will be paid directly to their bank accounts In order to avoid the Rio World cup debacle.
This decision was taken at the Black Stars camp in Port Gentil on Monday as the side prepares to take on Egypt on Wednesday in their last group D encounter.
