With less than seven hours to their AFCON opening match, Uganda Cranes lanky left back Joseph Ochaya is optimistic the tournament will be a turning point in his career.

“Playing at the AFCON in Gabon is a dream come true and it will surely change my life since I will face great players whom I will learn a lot from. I will remain in history as one of the players who helped Uganda qualify after a long period of time” he told soka25east.

The KCCA FC  defender  is expected to start at left back on this evening when Uganda battles with the Black Stars of Ghana in their group D opening match in Port Gentil.

AFCON record champions Egypt will play Mali later on in the other match of the group.
