Comoros Vs Uganda (Mitsamiouli Stadium)
Uganda President H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has offered to fund Cranes’ trip to Comoros for the AFCON qualifier scheduled for Saturday, September 5.
Uganda FA (FUFA) had made the request to the government to the tune of USD 210,000 for the team’s support.
The president according to FUFA official portal delivered the good news to the FA president on Tuesday – he also had a message of encouragement to the players, technical bench and staff.
“I am 100% behind you. Go and represent our country with passion. I wish you the best. I offer financial assistance as per your earlier request.” The President said.
FUFA supremo Eng. Moses Magogo thanked Museveni for his kind gesture and moral support.
“We are grateful for the offer from the president of Uganda. The support is timely as we have been struggling with finances to Comoros since the air tickets to the Island nation are very expensive.”
