The Tanzanian National team,The Taifa stars is expected to leave for Dar es Salaam today at 7pm after 8 days in camp at the Turkish town of Kocaeli.
The Kilimanjaro sponsored team has been camping in the Eastern Europe Country under coach Charles Bonface Mkwasa.
The team held their final training session yesterday morning at the Green Park Kartepe Grounds in Kocaeli.
The team has been preparing for the Saturday showdown clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking to the official federation website www.tff.or.tz head coach Mkwasa said that the moral at the camp is high and the boys are so much prepared for the clash.He added that the camp was a success and the boys have shown great improvement.
He only cited Abdi Banda’s injury as the only concern with all the players physically fit for the eagles clash.
He further said that their friendly match against Libya was a morale boost and promised to rectify their mistakes before the saturday AFCON clash.
He also asked Tanzanians to come in large numbers to cheer their team.
On his part,Captain.Nadir Haroub added that the camp has grown them mentally and psychologically in preparation for theatch.
The team will leave today 7pm for Dar es Salaam abored Turkish Airlines and will alight at the Julius Kambarage International Airport at 2:45am tomorrow morning.
The team will on wednesday embark on the final preparations for the Eagles clash as they will be joined by professionals Mbwana Samatta,Thomas Ulimwengu and Mrisho Ngassa
Stars lost 3-0 away to Egypt in the first match.
