Zimbabwe Warriors head coach Calisto Pasuwa has stepped aside as the coach of the National team

This has just come following Zinbabwe’s exit from the ongoing African cup of Nations in Gabon.

Zinbabwe failed to progress to the quarter finals of the tournament after goinh down 4-2 at tge hands of Tunisia in thier laat group match

“I think I should step aside and make way for another coach to take over,” Pasuwa told Zimbabwe top newspaper The Herald aftwr the defeat

The coach who has been charge of the team for two years had successfully made qualifications for CHAN 2016 as well as the ongoing AFCON 2017 in Gabon.

Pasuwa took full responsibility of the warriors poor performance despite a shock draw with Algeria while apologising to the nation.

“I am sorry we let the nation down in Gabon, but I believe if we can learn and build from this experience, we will do better in the next campaign and like I said, the foundation is there now for the future Warriors to work on.” he added.

The 46 year old is believed to be one of the front runners for the Zesco United job
