AFCON 2019 Contenders: Senegal go in the hunt for a first title

Senegal football team’s coach Aliou Cissé will be looking to guide his nation to its first title at the 2019 Total Africa Cup Of Nations in Egypt.

Blessed with a squad of top players playing in top European clubs, the Lions of Teranga are definitely contenders for the African crown.

Liverpool’s star man Sadio Mane, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Crystal Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye are just some of the talents to look out for in this Senegal squad

Senegal’s best finish at the AFCON came on 10th February in the 2002 edition hosted by Mali, finishing as runner-up after losing 3-2 on penalties to Cameroon after a goalless 120 minutes in Bamako.
