Ghana will miss the services of goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey, midfielder Mohammed Abu and attacker Godway Donyoh when they host Ethiopia on Sunday 11 June in a 2019 AFCON qualifying match.

This is according to Ghana Football Federation (GFA) statement that confirmed the trio would be unavailable for the tie for various reasons.

Kwarasey has been granted permission to stay out of the team because of a family emergency in Norway, while Nordjaelland winger Donyoh has been ruled out by injury.

The statement however did not reveal Abu’s absence, but sources close to the football governing body says the Columbus Crew man, unlike Kwarasey and Donyoh, is expected to join up with the squad for a double-header of friendlies in the USA after the Ethiopia encounter.

The Black Stars are set to face Mexico at Houston’s NRG Stadium in Texas on June 28, after which they play the USA at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Connecticut three days later.
