Both Senegal’s Teranga Lions and Algeria’s Desert Foxes won their opening Group C games at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations against Tanzania and Kenya respectively.
The two nations will lock horns at 30 June Stadium at 19:00 CAT in what is expected to be a heated battle of wits as they look to take control their Afcon destiny.
Head to Head
Senegal and Algeria will be meeting at the Africa Cup of Nations for the fourth time. Previous three meetings have seen Algeria winning two matches, 1990 and 2015 with one match draw in 2017.
Key Players
Sadio Mane is expected to be called upon after serving his ban in the 2-0 victory against Tanzania. Krepin Diatta, Keita Balde, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Kalidou Koulibaly are also expected to feature.
Riyad Mahrez and Baghdad Bounedjah will be the key players for the Algerians as both were on target in the 2-0 victory against Kenya.
Permutations
A draw is good for either but they would want to win in order to take command of the group.
Algeria and Senegal are toping Group C with 3 points each making them favorites to go through the next round while both Kenya and Tanzania are without any point.
