Lesotho will play host to Nigeria in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier at Setsoto Stadium in Maseru on Sunday. Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.
Likuena head into the clash on the back of a 1-1 draw away to Sierra Leone earlier this week. Jane Thaba-Ntšo netted a late equaliser for the visitors as they aim to book their place at what would be a first Afcon tournament for the Southern African club.
Nigeria, though, will pose a different threat with the likes of Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze running down the wings.
The Super Eagles came from behind to beat Benin 2-1 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Wednesday evening, to move top of Group L after the first round of fixtures.
Victor Osimhen and Samuel Kalu were on target for the three-time Afcon champions as they got their campaign off to a winning start.
Nigeria are ranked third on the African continent in the latest FIFA rankings (35th in the world). Lesotho come in at 138th heading into this weekend’s clash.
