After the thrilling AFCON 2023 a few months ago, the groups for the AFCON 2025 Qualifiers were drawn this Thursday.
A total of 48 teams participating in this qualifying round for the tournament were divided into 12 groups of four teams each.
Only the top two teams from each group will secure a ticket to the next Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco. As the host nation, Morocco already has its spot guaranteed.
The matches will not begin until September 2024. AFCON 2025 will kick off in December 2025.
The coach of Ivory Coast, Emerse Faé, who led the “Elephants” to glory in the last edition, and Moroccan legend Marouane Chamakh, were the special guests at the draw held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
