Al Ahly of Egypt will play LaLiga side Atletico Madrid in a friendly match on 30th December at Borg El Arab Stadium, Alexandria.
Dubbed “Match for Peace” the goal of the build-up is to “promote peace and loving one another.”
“After returning from their Christmas vacation, our players will play their final match of the year against the most successful Egyptian and African team,” Atletico announced.
“All the proceedings from ticket sales will go to the families of the victims of the terror attacks in Egypt.”
Al Ahly are a record 36 times Egyptian Premier League Champions and 8 times African Champions.
The Red Devils were declared club of the century by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Aletico are 10 times LaLiga champions. They are currently second in the league’s standings behind Barcelona.
