Lubumbashi based Club and CAF Champions League 2015 title holders TP Mazembe has parted company with their head coach Patrice Carteron.
according to the clubs official website, the Congolese giants have failed to renew Carteron’s contract after his contract.
The 45-year-old was appointed in May 2013 after leading Mali to third place at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Frenchman’s spell at the helm of the ‘Ravens’ will have ended on a bad note, with a sixth-place finish at the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2015 in December a reason attributed to failure by the Moishe Katumbi led club not to renew his contract.
Carteron won back to back league titles with the club in 2013 and 2014,finishing second in the 2013 CAF Confederations cup and securing a fifth Champions league title for club.
He becomes the third most succesful coach under the era of Moise Katumbi to leave the ‘Raven’ after Diego Garzito and Lamine Ndiaye.
With Mazembe leading the Congolese Linafoot with nine rounds played, its interesting to note who will be handed the mantle.
