Federation of Uganda Football Association head of communications manager Ahmed Hussein warned all Ugandans to be alert on Egyptian mind games on Thursday morning at the FUFA weekly press conference at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo as the Cranes keep continue with preparations to take on the Pharaohs on 31st August in the 2018 Russia World cup qualifiers.
“The match against Uganda means a lot to Egyptians so they are playing all sorts of mind games. To them (Egypt) even if it means losing out on the AFCON qualifications as long they win the two matches against the Cranes so to all Ugandans I appeal to you to stay alert on all sorts of mind games from Egyptians”, he said while addressing the media at Lugogo.
Uganda has never made it to the world cup while Egypt last played in the 1990 World Cup making the double encounter beginning on 31st August in Cairo and a few days later the return leg in Kampala very interesting as both nation’s dreams of making it to Russia in 2018 are still high.
