KANGA HIGH SCHOOL 2-1 ST MICHAEL’S NYANDEMA
Rongo Sub County representatives Kanga School today evening beat Nyatike sub county representatives St Michael’s Nyandema 2-1 in the finals of the Migori Secondary Ball games played at the Pe Hill High School.
It took Kanga only 15 minutes to take the lead when Timon Juma rose high to head from a long throw in by Shadrack Kinga.
Kanga dominated proceedings thereafter pinning the defending champions in their own half.
Nyandema’s only meaningful attempt was thwarted by Emmanuel Odhiambo in the Kanga goal.
Nyandema’s keeper who was imoressive in the match had a hard time dealing with the marauding Kanga attackers led by Shadrack Kawa, Timon Juma and Clifford Ouma.
In the 23rd minute Kanga made matters beyond Nyandema’s reach when Fidel Otieno calmly headed in from a long throw by Kinga Stephen.
On resumption Kanga began dominating the better part of the second half and came close to making three but Kenneth Onyango was impressive in the Nyandema goal.
Kanga coach Francis Nyakech brought in lethal Timon Juma for Obop David to add more punch upfront.
It was however the defending champions who reduced the defeciet by scoring after a long ball sent by Oketch Felix found Kanga keeper Emmanuel Odhiambo in the wrong position.
Nyandema piled more pressure to find an equalizer but the Kanga defence led comprising Otieno Fidel, Philip Otieno and Victor Omondi proved inevitable.

To reach the finals Kanga demolished Taranganya 7-0 while Nyandema edged hard fighting Komolorume 1-0
The win means Kanga High School will represent Migori County in the lake Regional Ball Games next week in Kisumu.

They will join the winners of Kisumu, Kisii, Nyamira and Siaya Counties.
Kisumu Day are the lake Region Defending champions.

In the girls category Nyatike sub County representatives St Gemma Girls Macalder easily beat Kuria representatives Kehancha Mixed Day 3-0 to proceed to the Lake regional Ball Games.
