Ajax Cape Town have completed the signing of Shu-Aib Walters from Cape Town City as the player reunites with  Muhsin Ertugral at the Ikamva based outfit.

The move from the Citizens has been confirmed by Urban Warriors coach Muhsin Ertugral as they look to bolster their goalkeeping department ahead of the new season.

Walters has not played regular football for the 2017/18 Absa Premiership campaign as he has deputized for Sage Stevens.

“We have brought Walters from Cape Town City he will be playing his football here at Ajax Cape Town.We are excited to sign a player of his calibre” Ertugral explained

Walters will compete with Brandon Peterson and Jody February for the No 1 jersey at the Urban Warriors.The club are likely to release Brendon Peterson who is on the wanted list of Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 36 year old Walters has been playing top flight football since 2006.

He has turned out for clubs like Bloemfontein Celtic,Maritzburg United and Mpumalanga Black Aces
