Al Ahly SC had fired French coach Patrice Carteron following Al Ahly’s exit from the Arab Club Championship.
After jumping from the frying pan in the CAF Champions League final loss to Esperance ,Carteron found himself in burning fire after Ahly’s misery was compounded as the Cairo giants were eliminated from Zayed Champions Cup after a draw with the UAE’s Al-Wasl on Thursday, less than two weeks after losing the African Champions League final to Tunisia’s Esperance in Rades.
