Al Ismaily have confirmed the return of Aboutaleb El Essawi as the head coach for his second stint at the club on Sunday.

El Essawi was in charge of Brazilians for part of last season and rejoins the club following resignation of Sebastian Desabre on Thursday who left to become head coach of the Uganda national team.

Despite achieving only six victories during his last stint at the club,Al Ismaily board member Ibrahim Fores revealed his delight at the capture of El Essawi, revealing that he is a lot more equipped for the job.

“El Essawi knows everything about the team,”Fares revealed in an interview with BBC Sport.

“He prepared this team before Desabre took charge.

“We have no time to hire a foreign coach,” Fares added.

Ismaily are leading the Egyptian Premier League table with 37 points, four points ahead of second-place Ahly, who have two games in hand.
