Botswana have named seven foreign-based in a 23-man squad under new coach Adel Amrouche for their World Cup qualifying tie against Malawi.
Mpho Kgswane, previously with Baroka FC in South Africa, has recently moved to Azerbaijan while Kabelo Seakanyeng, who also had a brief stint in South Africa’s Premier Soccer League with Chippa United and then in the National First Division with TS Galaxy, is now based in Malta.
They are the first Botswana exports to Europe since Dipsy Selolwane played in Denmark.
New coach Adel Amrouche, who was appointed last week, will also have five South African-based players in his squad for the two-legged tie.
It was picked for him by the outgoing interim coach Mogomotsi Mpote, who has since handed over the reigns.
Botswana host the Flames in the first leg of their tie at Francistown on Saturday with the return in Blantyre just three days later.
