Cameroon coach Rigobert Song insists Andre Onana ‘must respect the rules’ but admits he may continue at the World Cup: ‘It’s also up to him.’
The Inter goalkeeper was dropped from the Cameroon squad for today’s World Cup clash with Serbia for disciplinary reasons. Multiple reports claim the former Ajax keeper had technical disagreements with his coach
“We’ll have the chance to understand if he will continue at the World Cup, it’s also up to him,” Song said at a post-match press conference, as quoted by Calciomercato.com.
“I’ve asked him to wait, he will have to follow the rules again.”
Onana is Cameroon’s starting goalkeeper and played 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Switzerland on Thursday last week.

The 26-year-old joined Inter as a free agent in June and has kept five clean sheets in 13 appearances at a club level this term.
His contract at the Stadio Meazza runs out in June 2027.
The Cameroon international has 35 caps to his name and made his senior debut with his national team in September 2016.
Cameroon recovered from two goals down and held Serbia to a 3-3 draw today and will face Brazil in the final match of Group G on Friday.
