Angola have shot to the top of Group D after edging Mauritania 3-2 an entertaining match in Group D at the Stade Bouake on Saturday evening.
Following a 2-2 draw in the earlier game between Burkina Faso and Algeria, both Mauritania and Angola were looking for three points to boost their position on the table.
It was Angola who took the initiative in the game to sail to the top of the Group level on points with Burkina Faso.
