Angola’s coach Srđan Vasiljević has announced a strong 27-man provisional squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Coach Srđan Vasiljević has opted to call 27 players up for his provisional squad, with Al Ahly’s Geraldo being the standout name after a prolific campaign with his team, in which he scored 3 goals and delivered 6 assists in just 16 games.
Vasiljević’s squad includes 13 foreign-based and 14 home-based players, most notably Braga’s Wilson Eduardo, Lazio’s Bastos, Sporting’s Bruno Gaspar, and Girona’s Jonás Ramalho. French-born player, Jeremie Bela, has also been called up.
Angola will face Guinea-Bissau in a warm-up game before kicking off the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)against Tunisia, with Mauritania and Mali being the other teams in Group E.
This will mark Angola’s 8th appearance in the Africa Cup of Nations and their first since 2013.
