Another Kenyan player moves abroad

Days after Michael Olunga and David “Cheche” Ochieng found new homes at Djurgarden IF (Sweden) and New York Cosmos (North America) respectively, another Kenyan, Kevin Kimani has signed for Jomos Cosmos in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), South Africa.

The former Tusker FC winger who has been trying out with the Johannesburg based side penned a deal which will keep him down south for the next one year.

“I am greatful to God for this new opportunity. I will give my best to ensure the club succeeds.” The player was quoted by Michezoafrika.

Nicknamed “Ezenkosi” King of Soccer, Jomo plays their home matches at Makhulong Stadium, Tembisa.

They are currently 14th on the 16-team league log which Mamelodi Sundows top. The club is owned and coached by South African football legend Jomo “Black Prince” Sono.

Kimani will however have to wait for work permit before he can start playing for his new club.
