Champions APR defeated Mukura Victory Sports 2-1 to return to the top of the National Football League at Huye Stadium, yesterday.
Goals from Jean Claude Iranzi and Fiston Nkezingabo were enough to give Nizar Khanfir’s team maximum points.
APR is now leading the table with 37 points while Rayon Sports are in second position with 36 points after drawing against AS Kigali.
Meanwhile, Rayon Sports drew 1-1 against AS Kigali to drop to second spot in a match played yesterday afternoon at Kigali Regional Stadium. Mukura remains in 3rd position with 32 points.
Central defender, Thierry Manzi scored the opening goal in the 15th minute after a well taken free kick from Cedric Mugenzi while Amavubi striker Ernest Sugira equalised in the 37th minute after beating two defenders and goalie Eric ‘Bakame’ Ndayinshimiye.
