Botswana Premier League side Township Rollers have been reportedly attacked and robbed their gate-takings by notorious armed robbers.
According to media reports,the account department of the team were robbed on Saturday April 15, 2017 at gun point while moving the cash from stadium gate to the club’s office .
“I think the robbers were following the car from the National Stadium,they took all the money and the car,”said the source as quoted by Killer Pass.
The money was the total cash collected at Saturday night clash aganist their bitter rivals Mochundi Centre Chief at the National Stadium.
Township Rollers emerged the winners in what was mostly a one sided BTC Premiership match beating Mochundi 2-1
First half goals from Lemponye Tshireletso and Edwin Moalosi returned Rollers to the top of the log standings with a two point cushion at the summit.
In another incidence,two people were caught at the stadium selling duplicated tickets for the match and police investigations are ongoing.
There is no report of any casualty in the robbery incidence, but it is said that the matter is already been investigated by the police.
